Dear Prof, that has always been the way I addressed him in the tones of e mails I sent him over the years. I knew Prof in 2006 and stayed in-touch until Jan 2020, knowing him for 14 years is about 30% of my life ! The last MPhil he supervised was mine, as I finished it in December 2019 that when I also saw him for the last, its like he made sure that I am sorted before he leaves. He has supervised my progress throughout the years and it was such a pleasure knowing him. It is sad for me in Oman to know that he is not there anymore to answer my emails, or I can’t see him at his office if I were to come to the UK, so I can only imagine how much he is missed by all of his family and colleagues in Liverpool.
