Simon will be remembered all over the world. I was a former fellow of his at Nottingham and Harlow Wood in the early ninetees and after a consultancy in Margate moved back to Belgium. I keep good memories of our time together- his teaching skills and patience. At the time hé got appointed professor at Liverpool University I felt very happy for him-knowing this was his ultimate dream.
